The Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 Proposed Specified Works – Waste Collection / Street Sweeping / Drain Cleaning

The City has received an application under clause 14A of the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 (the regulations) to carry out Class 2 specified works – waste collection, street sweeping and drain cleaning between the hours of 4.30am and 7.00am Monday to Saturday.
Under the regulations, provisions for specified works and the associated effective management of noise (noise management plan), is in recognition that the proposed works are essential and the resultant noise has the potential to impact the community.
The undertaking of specified works early in the morning is to ensure unhindered access to areas that would otherwise be blocked by parked vehicles or traffic and to avoid interference with traffic flow.

Please register online and complete the survey to make a submission regarding this proposal on or before Friday 14 February 2025.
If you do not have access to the Internet, the proposal is available for viewing at the City of Busselton Civic Administration Centre, 2 Southern Drive, Busselton; or alternatively at the Busselton or Dunsborough Libraries.
