Please read the below information and fill in your details for inclusion in our events calendar.
What events can be included?
Events promoted on the events calendar need to meet the following criteria:
- Held wholly or partially within the City of Busselton boundaries
- Open to the general public
- Appealing to the City’s local community and visitors to the area
- Appropriate and not offensive, discriminatory, insular, or political in nature
- Annual or one-off events, special events or event series
- Complies with local and state laws
- Categorised as one (or more) of the following:
- Community festivals/events
- Community markets
- Live music and theatre performances
- Food and beverage festivals
- Art and cultural exhibitions/ workshops
- Major cultural celebrations
- Major sporting events
- Charity or not-for-profit events
What events can't be included?
Regular listings, ‘business as usual’ activities and activities that constitute part of the core business of your premises.
Please note:
- Inclusion of your event on the events calendar is at the discretion of the City of Busselton
- Inclusion on the event calendar is for advertising purposes only, event applications and approvals with the City will still need to be sought, separate to this listing.

Billboard and banner advertising
There are a number of locations where you can advertise your event. Please note these are for event advertising only.
Digital billboard
Located on Bussell Highway at the entrance to town, the City’s digital billboard is a dynamic and exciting way to advertise your City approved event. With dimensions of 3.84 m high x 11.52 m wide, this is a great way to ensure your event will be noticed.
The billboard is primarily for promotion of approved events via the event application process and emergency messaging, however at times, other messages may be included at the discretion of the City.
What can be included?
Events promoted on the digital billboard need to meet the following criteria.
- Requiring approval by the City via an Event Application
- Held wholly or partially within the City of Busselton boundaries
- Appealing to the City’s local community and visitors to the area
- Appropriate and not offensive, discriminatory, insular, or political in nature
- Annual or one-off events, special events or event series
- Complies with local and state laws
- Categorised as one (or more) of the following:
- Community festivals/events
- Live music and theatre performances
- Food and beverage festivals
- Art and cultural exhibitions/ workshops
- Major cultural celebrations
- Major sporting events
- Charity or not-for-profit events
What can’t be included?
- Regular events of a ‘business as usual’ nature;
- Activities which constitute part of the core business of your premises; and
- Activities where an event application is not required

- Screen overall size - 3840 high x 11520 width
- Content file format - High resolution JPEG or PNG
- Artwork size - 1152 x 384 pixels

Street banners
Street banners are a colourful way to advertise your event in the City’s busiest areas.
Events can display their banners in the following locations:
- Busselton - Queen Street, Foreshore Parade, Marine Terrace, Jetty Way
- Dunsborough - Dunn Bay Road

Temporary roadside banners
Roadside banners can be a good way to promote your event. Some great locations include Causeway Road, Bussell Highway, Busselton Bypass and Caves Road. Please note that Busselton Bypass and Caves Road will also require permission from Main Roads, so please allow extra time for that. Other conditions are included on the below form.
