The reuse shop will be a place where the community can meet and browse items that have been given a second chance at life. You never know what you'll find!
What is a Reuse Shop?
A reuse shop, sometimes known as a ‘tip’ shop, is a place where quality, second-hand items and materials otherwise destined for landfill are saved and sold to the public for reuse. The word ‘reuse’ recognises a move away from tipping or dumping surplus items into landfill, to valuing them as a reusable resource.
Why a Reuse Shop?
There has long been a recognised interest from the local community to establish a reuse shop that will provide a second life for items that might otherwise end up in landfill. The reuse shop will provide our community with the opportunity to shop for low cost goods such as furniture, building materials, tools, kitchenware, outdoor equipment, etc.
The reuse shop will also serve as a community based hub for employment, training and education opportunities.
What are the Reuse Shop Opening Hours?
The Reuse Shop is open to the public 4 days a week:
Thursday – Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm
Saturday –Sunday 10.00am - 2.00pm
