Rural Road Verge Maintenance in Progress

Over the next couple of months our City crews will be out on many of our rural roads working to keep our roadsides safe and maintained.

These works are to ensure driver safety, improve fire mitigation, and maintain critical assets like roads and drains.

The works will involve pruning and mulching roadside vegetation, focusing on canopy and regrowth under 10 years old (no mature trees will be removed).

This is a rolling annual program that will cover the entire district over time.

Works start in the yellow zone and then will move to the blue and red zones.
