Council confirms third round of Community Assistance Program Grants

A third suite of projects funded through the City’s 2023/24 Community Assistance Program were given Council’s endorsement. The six successful recipients sharing in a total of $43,917 include: 

  • Busselton Community Garden - rooftop solar system.
  • Busselton Hockey Association – grandstand replacement.
  • Busselton Jetty Inc – solar system with battery storage for Underwater Observatory.
  • Busselton Men’s Shed – replacement of common room chairs for community use.
  • Radiance Network South West – feasibility study for a community hub.
  • Waratah Support Centre – family and domestic violence prevention posters and coasters, and volunteer upskilling.

Each year, the City provides financial assistance to community groups and not-for-profit organisations through the Community Assistance Program. This assistance is provided for programs, services and projects that contribute to the social, environmental and cultural development of the district.
