East Abbey Groyne Repair Works

Works to the East Abbey Groyne have now commenced.

This groyne is a critical piece of coastal protection, but was damaged and in need of replacement.

The City will be removing the timber groyne and replacing it with a new geotextile sand container groyne in the same location to the east of Abbey Boat Ramp.

It's anticipated that the works will be completed within 4-8 weeks (subject to weather conditions).
