The City of Busselton Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tony Nottle as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the City of Busselton.
Mr Nottle currently holds the position of Director Finance and Corporate Services at the City and is an experienced executive with an extensive career in local government, having previously held the position of CEO at the Shire of Dandaragan, Shire of Coolgardie, Shire of Carnamah and Shire of Menzies.
Mr Nottle has held various board memberships, including being a board member of the Local Government Professionals and is in the final stages of completing his Master of Business Administration.
City of Busselton Mayor Grant Henley said “The announcement signalled an important next step for the City of Busselton and brought to a close a nationwide recruitment and selection process, to replace former CEO Mr Mike Archer.”
Mr Nottle was selected from a large and competitive field of applicants, with the excellent calibre of applicants leading to a tough decision, but importantly one that was unanimously supported by Councillors.

Mr Nottle is an accomplished local government executive with proven leadership skills and experience in managing and maintaining a high performing organisation, focused on financial sustainability and the delivery of strategic goals and objectives in collaboration with community.”

Cr Henley said “Council looked forward to working with Mr Nottle to ensure the City continues to deliver strong leadership and achievement of key Council and corporate outcomes.”
Reflecting on his appointment, Mr Nottle said “The City of Busselton is recognised as a progressive local government, with a strong history of delivering infrastructure and services to meet the needs of its growing and diverse community.”
“As we look forward into the future, we have a real opportunity to take advantage of the significant achievements that the City has produced over the past decade. We are now at a perfect time to consolidate and focus on the needs of our community and our ratepayers.”

Mr Nottle will start his new role on Monday, 5 December 2022.
