Nominations are now open for City of Busselton inaugural sports awards to be held on 24 October 2023.
The Annual Sports Awards will be an annual event that recognises and celebrates outstanding achievements and contributions in community sport.
These awards aim to honour and acknowledge individuals, teams, clubs and organisations that have made significant contributions to the sports community in Busselton
Categories include:
Individual Awards
- Sports Person of the Year
- Para Athlete of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Official of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
Club Awards
- Club of the Year
- Team of the Year
- Inclusion Program or Event
- Club Governance Award
- Event of the Year
Mayor Grant Henley said, “The City is extremely proud to introduce these inaugural awards.”
“The City understands the immense value sport brings to the local community through physical health and well-being, enhanced mental and emotional well-being and how it assists to foster social cohesion and community engagement.”
Nominations close 29 September 2023.
